Song of 14 – Lost Thunder

Lost thunder over a Safari desert
Batik covers her walls
Covers her doors
To protect her sanctuary
Her feet covered in blood stepping
On stones around a coast of oceans
Do you see
What I see
When I see her
Do you think what she thinks
When she thinks of a free nation
Do you know that she knows
We’re not going to save her?
A man just watched his son’s grave
Get carried away by God’s creation
Years lost in a book
To tell about a war he’s been fighting
A black sun gives his flowers life
And he wakes every morning
Do you see
What I see
When I see him
Do you think what he thinks
When he thinks of a free nation
Do you know that he knows
We’re not going to save him?
And it’s so sad
It’s so sad
We pretend we don’t see
What if it was you?
What if it was me?
